Our story

Authentic Antique Textiles

Every cushion cover is made from a genuine Transylvanian grain sack – grown, retted in rivers, hand-spun and hand-woven over a century ago. Not inspired by heritage. Made from it.

Handcrafted in Transylvania

Each piece is rigorously cleaned, restored and hand-sewn in our studio. The hemp that survived a century of harvest is built to last another.

Rescued, Not Reproduced

We do not manufacture fabric. We hunt for forgotten textiles in chests and barns across Transylvania – preserving history one thread at a time. When a piece is gone, it is gone forever.

How to care for grain sacks

Hemp is one of the most durable and sustainable natural fibers in the world. However, because it is a natural material, it requires a gentle touch to maintain its texture and strength over time.

Follow these simple steps to keep your cushion cover in the best possible condition for years to come:

Wash: Hand wash or machine wash (Gentle Cycle) with mild detergent.
Protect: Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
Dry: Air dry only. Do not tumble dry.
Iron: Iron while fabric is slightly damp for best results.
